Google Ranking Reached In 12 Weeks
Of Total Revenue From The Site
Orders On Day 1
THE BRIEF
A Restaurant That Could Not Afford
A Soft Launch
This restaurant had a fixed opening date, a lease that started charging the day the doors unlocked, and no website. There was no window for a slow rollout or a site that would catch up to the business later. It had to be ready, indexed, and taking orders on day one.
We were brought in two weeks before opening to design, build, and launch a site that could carry reservations, an online menu, and full ordering from the very first service, then keep earning its place on page one of Google long after the opening night crowd went home.
Timeline
Eight weeks from kickoff to a live, order ready site on opening night
Market
A competitive Ontario dining scene where three other kitchens opened within the same quarter
Ordering
One menu that had to stay in sync across the website, Toast, UberEats, and DoorDash
Visibility
Almost no existing search presence for the brand name or the neighbourhood
Goal
Online sales meaningful enough to change the restaurant’s staffing and inventory planning
THE APPROACH
The App Built Like a Service Line,
One Station At A Timeroach
Five stages, run in sequence and tested against a fixed opening date rather than a soft one.
THE RESULTS
What The Site Did Once It Went Live
Every number below is measured from the week the site went live through the first two quarters of operation.
GOOGLE RANKING, LOCAL SEARCH
Reached the top organic result for the restaurant’s primary local search terms within 12 weeks of launch, up from an unranked position at opening.
REVENUE FROM THE WEBSITE
More than half of total restaurant revenue is now generated through direct site orders, reservations, and site driven marketplace traffic.
ORGANIC TRAFFIC GROWTH
Monthly organic sessions grew from
roughly 800 in the first month to over
10,000 by month six.
GOOGLE RANKING CLIMB, WEEKS 1 TO 12
What The Site Did Once It Went Live
Position on the day the site launched versus position twelve weeks later, tracked weekly for the restaurant’s core local search terms including its name and neighbourhood plus cuisine.
WHERE RESTAURANT REVENUE COMES FROM TODAY
Revenue split across the restaurant’s channels two quarters after the site went live,
including orders placed directly on the website and reservations that originated on site.
Before launch, the restaurant had no digital order channel at all. Within two quarters, the site and its connected ordering platforms became the single largest revenue channel in the business, ahead of walk in dine in traffic.
ORGANIC TRAFFIC, FIRST SIX MONTHS
Search visibility compounded as the site earned rankings for its name, its neighbourhood, and its menu categories.

ORGANIC TRAFFIC, FIRST SIX MONTHS
One Menu, Connected To Every Order Channel
Search visibility compounded as the site earned rankings for its name, its neighbourhood, and its menu categories.
TOAST POS
Direct Ordering And Payment
The website’s ordering flow connects straight into Toast, so a customer paying on the site is placing an order that lands on the same kitchen ticket rail as a dine in table, with no manual entry required.
UBEREATS
Marketplace Reach Without Menu Drift
Menu items, pricing, and availability update from a single managed source, so a sold out dish or a price change made once on the site reflects on UberEats without a second round of edits.
DOORDASH
A Second Delivery Channel, Same Source Of Truth
DoorDash pulls from the same connected menu, giving the kitchen one order
queue to watch instead of three separate tablets and three separate chances
to miss an order.
FROM THE CLIENT
We opened our doors and the site was already taking orders. Three months later we were the top result in our own neighbourhood. Half our revenue now comes from a channel that did not exist before this team built it.
